Escambia County Department of Public Safety trains on the newly delivered Emergency Deployable Inter-operability Communications System (EDICS)

This system provides the department with the ability to bridge the communication gap that occurs during large multi-agency responses. Agencies within the emergency response community use different types of radio bands and this unit can eliminate that gap which provides for better coordination during events.
